Counterfeit Eclipse

a fake sky, printed slightly out of register

Open full screen ↗

A celestial event assembled the cheap way: halftone discs for the sun and moon, sheared screen bands for the glare, clipped arcs and ink rays for the corona — every layer printed a few millimetres out of register, the way a rushed press job slips. The yellow escapes one direction, the screen dots the other, and somehow the errors add up to something more convincing than a sky.

Press R to run the forgery again — same machine, next variation, new palette.
